I spent time at Mirada in LA designing neon props and staging to help make this feel more like implied motion. And the solution I came to was actually, SPEED LINES like you would find in a manga. Once that was established we did a lot of other icons and neon signage to help fill out the scene. A lot of the lighting in this is fake. Movie Magic. Go figure.
